I grew up with Scottish terriers, and since we married we have always had 2 Scottish terriers; from time to time even more. One of these grew rather old, and he won trophies several times as "Best senior". Getting old he was hampered by rheumatism, but he wanted to walk with us none the same. The solution was to use a pushchair - when he became tired he just entered the pushchair, and when he recovered he proceeded walking. He finally died at the age of 16 years.
